RIP Internet Explorer: Microsoft to retire the web browser!
Microsoft is making way for its new web browser
How much ever we mock it today, but Internet Explorer was kind of a big deal back in the 90s, and none of us can deny that. We went down a nostalgia trip when we learned about Microsoft putting an end to the Internet Explorer!
Recently at a Microsoft Convergence conference, the company’s marketing chief announced that they will soon be replacing the Internet Explorer with their new web browser, which is currently codenamed, Project Spartan. Microsoft is still deciding on a name for the new browser. Project Spartan, is expected to be launched by the end of this year, along with the Windows 10.
However, the company official also added that the Internet Explorer will not be entirely done away with, and that it would continue to exist with the Windows 10 for compatibility purpose, and with the older version of the Windows operating system (Windows 8, Windows 7 and Windows Vista).
