Ranchi, Jharkhand: A group of tribal villagers in Jharkhand attacked the Modi government over the land bill in a unique way – around 60 adivasi men defecated in public on copies of the proposed land bill in Jharkhand, according to the India Express.

The protest was organised by the National Campaign on Adivasi Rights (NCAR), headed by Abhay Xaxa, Convener, NCAR. Opting for a non-violent protest, the convenor Xaxa pointed out that rallies and debated haven’t been helpful, while turning violent was not an option either.

The organisers are planning to hold similar protests in future till the amendment bill is reviewed. They have received invitations from six other sites in Jharkhand to conduct similar protests.

Earlier, leaders of 14 political parties led by Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday marched from Parliament to Rashtrapati Bhavan against amendments to the land acquisition act and pledged to continue their "do or die" battle.
