Samsung launches Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in India
Samsung is holding an event in New Delhi and will announce the prices for the two
Samsung’s flagship handsets, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, will arrive in India next week. Samsung held an event in the country’s capital on March 23, 2015, where showed off the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge to the bloggers, reviewers and the media.
Samsung announced the two flagship smartphones for 2015, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge at the MWC 2015 in Barcelona, on March 1. The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge will be available globally starting from April 10, 2015 with 32GB/64GB/128GB storage options and in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Blue Topaz (Galaxy S6 only) and Green Emerald (Galaxy S6 edge only) colour variants. The tech giant did not disclose the prices for the two handsets at the event.
However, Samsung’s Netherland website has put out the prices for the two models for preorder on their website. For now, the two flagships will be available only on 32GB and 64GB variants. The other storage variants may show up soon, or in different countries, depending on the market necessity and requirements.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge sport a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. Both the devices are powered by Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5GHz, octa-core application processor, 3GB of RAM and feature a 16MP primary camera with a 5MP front-facing
Samsung has officially announced the prices for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in India. Starting April 10, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will carry prices of Rs 49,900, Rs 55,900 and Rs 61,900 for the 32GB, 64GB and 128GB respectively. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will be priced at Rs Rs 58,900, Rs 64,900 and Rs 70,900 for the 32GB, 64GB and 128GB respectively.
