YSRC padayatra planned

Hyderabad: Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to go on a padayatra from Polavaram to Pattiseema to highlight the irregularities in taking up the project and to stress on the need to complete the Polavaram project on priority basis.
The final decision on padyatra will be taken on Monday during the YSRC legislature party meeting. Senior YSRC leader V. Vijay Sai Reddy said, “There is a proposal for a padyatra, but the legislature party meet will decide.”
Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy has been alleging diversion of Polavaram funds to Pattiseema. He said, “The government claimed that Rs 1,000 crore was allocated to the Polavaram project. Of this, Rs 750 crore is from the Centre. For Pattiseema, it allocated '1,600 crore, but no details were given. So, it is clear that the government wants to divert the Polavaram funds for the Pattiseema project.”
