Watch: Shane Watson with guitar, sings ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’
The song, an Oasis classic, could be any team’s anthem after the semis
Mumbai: Team India – Down Under for three months now – have been slogging hard to beat Australia. Though they were unsuccessful, the tour exposed the players’ strengths and weaknesses. Given India’s unbeaten run in the World Cup, any result is possible. If Aussies lose the plot, Shane Watson may take out his guitar once again and strum: “Don’t Look Back In Anger” for they too, have had a good tournament.
Watson, the talented all-rounder, sang the famous Oasis classic four years back during the Indian Premier League.
The words of the song are quite related to the current mental status of the players.
“Slip inside the eye of your mind, don’t you know you might find, a better place to play…will slowly fade away.
So I’ll start a revolution from my bed, cos you said the brains I had went to my head…”
However, it remains to be seen who sings the song of joy on Thursday at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
