Karimnagar: Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple in Vemulawada is a prominent destination for the devotees of Lord Shiva.
It is also very popular among the members of the transgender community.
Traditionally, several thousands of men, women and eunuchs marry Lord Shiva during Sri Rama Navami celebrations in the shrine every year, believing that the presiding deity would cure their chronic diseases and other problems and bless them with prosperity.
This time, over one lakh eunuchs followed this custom at the temple town in Vemulawada on Saturday.
Eunuchs from various districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, as well as Maharashtra and Chhattishgarh, came to the town at least a day in advance and offered prayers to the presiding deity of the temple.
