'Respect Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's personal life,’ says Yuvraj Singh
Yuvraj Singh supports India's star batsman and girlfriend against harsh criticism
Mumbai: Virat Kohli has received harsh reviews after his disappointing performance against Australia in the semifinal of the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup that led to India's ouster from cricket's main event.
A large section of the audience have attributed his poor form to girlfriend Anushka Sharma's presence at Sydney Cricket Ground. But now Kohli and his Bollywood actress girlfriend have got the support of none other than 2011 World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh.

Kohli started off the tournament with a match winning century against arch-nemesis Pakistan that ultimately saw the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Team India triumph over their neighbours by 76 runs. Kohli became the only Indian to score a century against Pakistan in the World Cup.

With such a great start, everybody expected India’s swashbuckling batsman to perform in the rest of the tournament but his form dipped, and Kohli couldn’t even manage to score a half-century in the remainder of India’s World Cup campaign.

While India managed to edge past Mashrafe Mortaza-led Bangladesh side in the quarterfinal, they didn’t put up a fight at all against Michael Clarke and the Australians in the semis. Kohli, one whom everybody was looking at to post a big score just managed to score only one run. And what was even more disappointing to notice that B-Town actress Anushka Sharma's presence at the SCG was the main reason why Kohli got distracted.
