After Shruti Haasan opts out, Tamannaah Bhatia roped in
The team will begin shooting the second schedule in April
Mumbai: Shruti Haasan recently denied receiving any legal notice from Picture House Media, after the actress chose to opt out of the ‘Nagarjuna-Karthi bilingual film, which is said to be the remake of the film ‘Intouchables’ over date issues.
After Shruti, who is currently shooting for ‘Yaara’ opted out, it has now been reported that the makers have roped in Tammanah Bhatia for the role, as the actress has available dates and is fluent in both Tamil and Telugu.
Picture House Media’s Executive Director Rajeev Kamineni told Absolute India, “We have replaced Shruti Haasan with Tamannaah Bhatia as she is popular and fits the role well. She is fluent in both Telugu and Tamil and her dates were available so we locked her for the role. We tried to get in touch with her but she didn’t revert back. We were asked to cast anyone else as per the court orders so went ahead with Tamannaah.”
The team has already shot the first schedule, and the second schedule of the film will commence in April. They are still working on the film’s title, which will reportedly have its release in September this year.
