5 prisoners including MCOCA accused escape Nagpur Central Prison

Nagpur: Five inmates escaped from the high-security Nagpur Central Prison here in the wee hours on Tuesday, police said. According to initial reports, the jail break took place between 2 AM and 4 AM. The escapees include three MCOCA accused and a arms case convict, police said.

They were identified as Bisen Singh from Seoni (MP) besides Mohammad Saleb Salim and Satyendra Gupta, who were facing MCOCA charges.

The others were Prem Nepali from Nepal who was detained under section 425 (Arms Act) and Akash Golu (22) who was detained under section 392 (Robbery).

Police have spread the dragnet and are searching possible hideouts and exit points like Railway station, bus station and private bus depots to nab them.
