13 from Andhra Pradesh among returnees from strife-torn Yemen

Hyderabad: Among the Indian nationals evacuated from Aden in Yemen and those who will be flying from the neighbouring country Djibouti, 13 are from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state. They were to be back by Wednesday night.

The government has sent an IAF C-17 Globemaster aircraft to bring back the Indians while another aircraft is set to reach Djibouti.

Mos for external affairs V.K. Singh is in Djibouti to oversee the evacuation exercise.

“One plane will land in Kochi and the other in Mumbai late this evening. My colleague General V.K. Singh is coordinating the operations with Indian Navy and Air Force in Djibouti,” external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj tweeted.
