Indians prefer shorter travelling period: survey

Chennai: Indians are preferring to take more short period breaks for travelling this summer vacation. According to the findings by travel community HolidayIQ on travelling trends with regard to upcoming summer travel in India, close to 75 per cent of all the trips planned by Indian travellers are less than three days.
It also revealed that more Indians prefer destinations like jungles and deserts. While 39 per cent of travellers opted for these destinations in 2013, it is expected to touch about 50 per cent in 2015.
