Hyderabad: As many as 30 nursing students of the Osmania Nursing College have been admitted to Osmania General Hospital for food poisoning. On Monday morning, the nursing students complained of vomiting and loose motions.

The students, who stay in the nursing hostel on the OGH campus, had eaten chicken in the hostel canteen on Sunday night.

A senior doctor at OGH said, “They came to us in the morning and were severely dehydrated. Some of them had vomited five to six times. They were immediately put on IV fluids.”

Superintendent Dr Raghu Ram has asked the nursing college principal to check the food hygiene in the canteen.
