Intex Aqua Speed HD launched for Rs 8,999

Intex Technologies unveiled its new addition to the swift Intex Aqua Speed category with the Intex Aqua Speed HD smart phone. The Aqua Speed HD comes with the Android Kitkat 4.4.2 OS, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor, supported by a 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage.

The smartphone features an 8 MP rear and 5 MP front camera with additional features and boasts of a 4.7-inch HD IPS FL display screen with scratch free dragontail glass.

Intex claims to be the first Indian brand to launch Sashakt app in its devices which is enabled for the safety of women. This is a new step taken by Intex towards empowering the women of today and help them facilitate a safe and secure independence. The app aims to act as a tool for the betterment of women. Sashakt operates on the mechanism of a pre-installed emergency number and a message that needs to be sent along with the location of the user on the receiving end. While One drive is a cloud store service for Intex users, where they will get free cloud storage of 50 GB free of cost for two years. Users can access their data from their PC as well by logging in from their Microsoft account.

Additional features of the Aqua Speed HD are Smart Awake, Hot Knot, New UI Icons, customized notification bar and Air Shuffle function.

The device weighs 120 grams with the battery and will be available in four colours –White, Silver and Sea Blue.
