Hyderabad: Seven suspects were picked up for interrogation by the Railway Protection Force and the Government Railway Police personnel during the cordon and search operations at the Secunderabad railway station on Wednesday. Checks have been intensified on trains and at stations to curb irregular travel and the movement of “suspicious” persons.

On Wednesday morning, seven people were found loitering about at the station and were picked up for interrogation to verify their identity.

“Seven people were picked up from the station premises during the cordon and search operations conducted in the morning. They were interrogated and let off after their identities were verified. Generally, if someone is moving suspiciously and are not able to provide any valid ID proof, they are questioned,” said GRP inspector Anjaneyulu.
