Xiaomi to possibly launch Ferrari in Delhi next week
Xiaomi has scheduled a big global announcement and the event is in Delhi
Xiaomi seems to be copying Apple a lot and all the product designs are examples of proof. From the very basic MIUI operating system UI’s look to the smartphones and other products, the designs closely look and feel like Apple’s premium devices.
'i is comimg' is what the teaser states, and according to news reports, rumours and leaks, the Xiaomi Mi 4i, codenamed Ferrari, will be launched at the global Xiaomi event held in Delhi on April 23. the Geekbench and Singapore’s Infocomm Development authority (IDA) has information about the benchmarks of the Xiaomi Mi 4i (aka Ferrari). As per the report on Geekbench, the Mi 4i will feature a 1.65 GHz Snapdragon 615 Octa-core 64-bit processor, 2GB of RAM and Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
Xiaomi is all set for a global announcement with the event taking place in Delhi on April 23, 2015. The event’s invitation looks identical to what Apple had released during the March launch of the Apple Watch. The invitation with the flowery background is similar (not completely) to what Apple had released. Xiaomi spelled ‘i is coming’ along with a tag line ‘Global Mi Phone Premiere in New Delhi’ with the date ’23 April, 2015’ in it. Is it a coincidence or is it a mock? Well, we are no one to judge. However, it is definitely something to note, since Apple and Xiaomi are high competitors in China, and now in other countries too.
Xiaomi could also be announcing the launch of the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro in India. The huge announcement on Xiaomi’s website states that the CEO and Founder Lei Jun, President and Co-Founder Bin Lin and VP Global Hugo Barra will be hosting the event in Delhi.
Well, Xiaomi has a lot of fan following around the world and India is on the top list too. Mi fans in India are looking forward to Xiaomi’s devices since they seem to sell premium products for low costs.
If true, Xiaomi will be launching the mid-range Mi 4i and the latest flagship smartphones, the Mi Note and the Mi Note Pro in India. The Mi Note is built using a Snapdragon 801 processor with a 5.7-inch full HD display and 3GB of RAM, while the Mi Note Pro is built using a Snapdragon 810 processor with a 5.7-inch QHD display and 4GB of RAM. The two smartphones will compete with top rivals Samsung, Apple, HTC and others in the Indian smartphone industry.
Xiaomi could also be speaking about a few other products scheduled for India. In the pipeline are (which was announced last year) the Mi TV, the Mi Router and a few other products that have yet to show up in India.
Stay tuned.
