IPL 8: Delhi Daredevils, Mumbai Indians troubled with injury blows
Shami ruled out, Finch likely to miss the entire season
New Delhi: India pacer Mohammed Shami's knee injury turned out to be more serious than Delhi Daredevils made it out to be as he has been ruled out of the entire IPL cricket tournament.
Shami, who took 18 wickets in the World Cup, had problems with dodgy knee as he was rested for one game against UAE which Bhuvneshwar Kumar played.
"Shami is out of the tournament. He might have to go for operation. He should not have gone for IPL. He will take at least two months for recovery," a BCCI official told PTI on condition of anonymity.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians who next face two-time Indian Premier League champions, Chennai Super Kings are likely to lose Aaron Finch for rest of the season.
Looks like I'll be out of the rest of @IPL at this stage! The scan showed a bit of damage, absolutely shattered!

The Australian batsman pulled a hamstring during MI's game against Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday and limped back to the dugout, unable to keep his left leg on the ground.
