Stalker stabbed to death by girl’s father

Hyderabad: A stalker was killed early on Friday morning when he attacked a girl and her family at their residence in Prashanthnagar, Kukatpally.
 
The girl’s father, in an act of self-defence snatched the knife from  his hand and stabbed him. He died on the spot. Mallesh alias Raju, 30, a native of Chevella in Ranga Reddy District  had been living in Moosapet. He worked as a distributor and promoter  of mobile phones in a store at KPHB. 
 
The girl, Neeraja alias  Krishnaveni, 27, works at a furniture and decor store in the same  shopping complex. According to the Kukatpally police, Raju had proposed Neeraja a  year ago but she had refused. Despite this, he continued to stalk her and even visited her residence and informed her parents that  he wanted to marry their daughter.
 
Her father, Vallabha Rao, 55, did not agree and had told him that  they wanted to get her married to another man from East Godavari, their native place. Kukatpally inspector K. Purushotham said, “He had been stalking her  for a year. He had threatened her with dire consequences if she  didn’t accept his proposal. He threatened to kill her and her 
family.”
