Yet again Anurag Kashyap lost his cool with the media at the launch of veteran journalist C.P. Surendranath’s book Hadal. A television journalist, who asked Anurag a fairly innocuous question on the content of the book, was given a mouthful by the filmmaker.

According to those present at the event, Kashyap accused the journalist of trying to create a sensational headline through Anurag’s words. He also pulled the journalist up in front of the camera so he could be identified and  “banned” at subsequent media events.

A film personality who was witness to the goings-on, said that such incidents are not out of the ordinary for Anurag. “Being brash, impatient and rude with the media has become a way of life with Kashyap.” And with his big release Bombay Velvet around the corner, apparently, his production partners, too, have advised him to go about with “some restraint and caution” in his dealings with the media.
