Ministers quell apprehensions
The ministers said that necessary steps will be taken regarding the 9.2 objection forms

VIJAYAWADA: The state ministers for municipal administration and agriculture P. Narayana and Prathipati Pulla Rao urged the people of the capital region not to trust the rumours that the villages will be relocated as part of the capital construction.
They were participating in the disbursement of the lease cheques to the farmers in the capital region who gave their lands for the capital construction on the premises of the CRDA office at Tullur in Guntur district on Monday. The ministers handed over the cheques worth Rs 1.85 crore to 116 farmers. Later, they addressed the gathering in which they alleged that some forces were trying to spread baseless rumours that four villages- Nelapadu, Inavolu, Sakhamuru and Velagapudi – will be relocated soon and the other villages will also meet the same fate in future, just to terrorise the people.
They said that nothing of that will happen. They assured the farmers that all the loans that were to be disbursed to them will be given before April 25 of and also promised to solve the problem of grama Kantham lands within 15 days in all the 29 villages in the capital region. Mr Narayana announced that the capital will be built by May, 2018.
The ministers said that necessary steps will be taken regarding the 9.2 objection forms. They disclosed that the skill development centres proposed to improve the working skills of the people of the capital region in different trades will start functioning from May 15.
The ministers annou-nced that 49 maize procurement centres will be set up across the Guntur district and urged the farmers to avail them and get benefited.
Meanwhile, the birthday of the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was celebrated on this occasion. The ministers cut a cake and distributed sweets to the farmers and Telugu Desam cadre. The joint collector Ch. Sridhar and other officials and public representatives attended.
