London: A Colorado man, who has been "fighting with his computer for the last several months," took it outside and shot it eight times, resulting in the death of the computer and him being cited for discharging a firearm.

A police spokesman said that the man Lucas Hinch was having technology problems, so he took it to the back alley and destroyed it, the BBC reported. As per local media, he did not realise he was breaking the law when he went "Wild West" on his machine.
It is reported that Hinch shot the machine when ctrl+alt+delete, the traditional method used to re-boot computers, consistently did not work.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reports that 37-year-old Hinch was slapped with a ticket for discharging a weapon within city limits after he took his computer outside and shot it eight times. Lt. Jeff Strossner, who issued the citation, says Hinch told him he had been fighting his computer for months before he decided to exact his revenge. Hinch accepted his citation without problem and told Strossner he did not realize he was breaking the law.

The penalty for the citation will be up to a judge.
