Hansal Mehta wraps up his next project 'Aligarh'
The film which revolves around a gay professor features Manoj Bajpayee
Mumbai: The shooting of Hansal Mehta's 'Aligarh' was kicked off in January. The team which start shooting in Bareilly, wrapped it up in Mumbai last week. The movie has also been filmed across locations in Delhi and Allahabad.
Manoj Bajpayee will be playing the role of a gay professor, something which he has never attempted earlier. The film is based on the real life incident of a gay professor who was terminated from his job because of his sexuality.
Hansal Mehta will also be producing the film under the banner, Karma Pictures along with Sandeep Singh and Sunil Lulla. The film based on true events will also star Rajkumar Rao. This is the third time Hansal will be collaborating with Rajkumar after ‘Shahid’ and ‘Citylights’.
