THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Srividya’s brother, M. L. V. Sankar Raman is peeved at his two sons being denied Rs 10 lakh mentioned in her will nine years ago.

Though he met Chief Minister Oommen Chandy with a written complaint against former cinema minister and Kerala Congress (B) legislator K. B. Ganesh Kumar three years back, he did not get justice.

The 63-year-old only sibling of Srividya told DC that she had lots of wealth, including insurance claims, amounting to crores of rupees. He urged the government to find out their whereabouts as she invested in different parts of the State.

Srividya, one and a half years younger to him, died of spine cancer on Oct 19, 2006. He was not informed of her illness though they were very close.

Due to poor health, he could not pursue his complaint to the CM all these years. Currently, he is finding it difficult to repay the education loan of Rs 35 lakh that he took for his two sons.

“Initially, Ganesh Kumar was very cordial. But whenever I ask him for the death certificate and the will, he gets very rude,” said the actor who is currently doing a film with Suriya.

“I wish my sister gets justice and the CM settles the issue.” Srividya had waged a legal battle for 15 years against her former husband, George Thomas, and regained her palatial home at Mahalingapuram in Chennai.

She sold off this property worth several crores and later invested in various properties in the State. He wants the Kerala government to trace them.

However, the chief minister told DC that he did not remember the actors’ brother giving him a written complaint. He promised to enquire.

In the four-page will dated August 17, 2006, Srividya, who was a resident of ‘Sai’ at Elipode Road, Vattiyoorkavu in Thiruvananthapuram, appointed Mr Kumar as its executor.

The house on eight cents, 1250-sq.ft apartment in Chennai, Rs 15,50,000 bank deposit, 580-gram gold ornaments, 1.5-kg silver, household articles, a Santro car and post office savings of Rs 3 lakh were major assets she left.

She also bequeathed Rs 1 lakh to her servants, Sahadevan and his wife Sidhammal and another Rs 5 lakh each to two of her nephews.
