Love unrequited, youth ends life
His parents wanted the marriage, fixed in February, to be postponed

Vijayawada: A 24-year-old youth, Bandaru Naga Krishna, who was engaged to a girl a few mon-ths ago, committed suicide at his workplace in Arundalpet on Friday allegedly unable to bear that his fiancée was married to another man.
By the time the girl was getting ready to host marriage reception function on Friday, Naga Krishna, who is a B.Tech graduate, committed suicide with a cable wire in the automobile spare parts shop where he is working.
According to Suryarao Pet inspector r Ravi Kanth, Naga Krishna was engaged to his girlfriend on December 5 on the consent of parents of both the parties. However, as Krishna's grandparent died in January this year, his parents wanted the marriage, fixed in February, to be postponed, but the girl's parents refused to do so and started searching for new match to their daughter, police said.
Krishna went to his girlfriend's house a week ago requesting her to not marry other person, but her parents approached police complaining against Krishna for disturbing their daughter. However, the girl married another person on April 21 and her marriage reception was slated for Friday. Unable to bear the pressure, Krishna hanged himself from ceiling.
Based on the complaint lodged by parents of Krishna, Surya Rao pet police registered a case under section 174 of CrPc and took up investigation. Krishna is a graduate from an engineering college in Nuzvid and is son of Venkata Duraga Rao who resides in One Town of city.
