VisakhapatnamCongress leader Bolisetty Satyanarayana criticised the state government accusing it of deliberately grabbing lands from farmers in Krishna and Guntur districts in the name of Capital City.

Mr Satyanarayana was addressing the media persons on Saturday and said the Central government has come up with an Ordinance to LARR Act 2013 and adding fuel to fire, the state government has also come up with the Capital Region Development Authority Act 2014 only to grab lands from the farmers and owners to bypass the legally formed LARR Act 2013.

Mr Satyanarayana said farmers and workers of 29 villages in Krishna and Guntur districts have spent several sleepless nights ever since the announcement for the capital was made.

Agricultural lands belong to farmers and employment of almost 2,00,000 village-workers depend on the lands situated in Vijayawada and Guntur, said the leader.
