Hyderabad: TRS leaders looking for nominated posts are putting their heart and soul to make the party’s mega public meeting at Parade Grounds on April 27 a big success. Aspirants who are lining up before ministers and senior party leaders are being told that the process will begin after the public meeting and the hint is clear..
“I will certainly recommend your name, but ensure you get enough people for the meeting and ensure that they are well looked after,” a senior TRS leader reportedly told an aspirant.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has filled up certain nominated posts but over 4,000-odd jobs lie vacant in corporations, temple trusts, market committees, the Information Commission and other posts which are yet to be filled up. Due to bifurcation blues, many corporations remain undivided. TRS leaders are in an upbeat mood after Mr Rao announced that he would fill nominated posts within three months.
“Some posts in market committees and temple trusts could be filled up immediately. But corporations could be delayed due to the AP Reorganisation Act,” a TRS legislator said.
With decks cleared for MLC seats by the President, lobbying is also on for a MLC seat to be nominated by the Governor, 6 MLCs to be elected by MLAs and local bodies.
Sources said the Chief Minister has recommended Mr Nethi Vidyasagar Rao for the MLC seat in the Governor quota and promised former MLC K.R. Amos Cabinet-rank nominated post.
