All those who were looking to buy the Apple watch, you might want to consider watching this video and make an informed decision before making your purchase.
A new video that is making rounds of the Internet shows tech vlogger TechRax putting the Apple Watch sport to test by dropping it from a height of approximately 3 feet. As one can imagine it does not end well for the Apple Watch. After the first fall, the vlogger goes on to drop the watch several times, perhaps to emphasize on the failure of the watch's durability.
The product description for the Apple watch says- 'is protected by a lightweight aluminosilicate glass that’s especially resistant to scratches and impact'. At the end of the video, it becomes clear vlogger was under the impression that the cheaper Apple Watch Sport also had a Sapphire screen and didn't expect it to shatter into hundreds of peices during the drop test. TechRax is well known for their unorthodox methods of testing Apple devices, having previously boiled an iPhone 6 in Coca Cola, put on inside a lava lamp, ironed one, and roasted another one inside a turkey.
But all said and done, the watch especially being the sports version miserably fails the test. We would have liked the screen to be made of more durable material.
