Man held for wife’s murder in Kakinada

The husband allegedly strangled her with her dupatta

KakinadaThe Two Town police of Kakinada solved the murder case of Chippada Kanaka Mahalakshmi, 26. The police said that her husband Peddimsetty Srinu, 33, allegedly strangled her with her dupatta and dumped the body in the house of Prabhala Sitha of Kondaiapalem.
 
Kakinada Two Town circle inspector D.S. Chaitanya Krishna told reporters here that Kanaka Mahalakshmi’s body was found in Prabhala Sitha’s house at Kondaiahpalem on April 16. 
 
He said that Srinu strangled her to death due to suspicion on her character and tried to portray it as a rape and murder case and dumped it in the house where the deceased was working as a servant. He said that the accused voluntarily confessed in front of Kakinada tahsildar. He said that after taking the statement, the tahsildar handed over the accused to the Two Town police station. The accused will be produced in the court.
