15 kg floating stone netted by fisherfolk

They took the floating stone to be let into the temple tank of Adikesavaperumal temple

PudukkottaiThe fishermen of Ponnagaram hamlet, near Manalmelgudi in Pudukkottai district, netted a floating stone, weighing about 15 kg, along with fish catch when they ventured into the sea on Monday.
 
Official sources said the fishermen struggled to pulling in their fishing net. They thought they had caught some abnormal fish along with their usual catch. It was only after they brought the net on to the shore did they find that it was stone object that was weighing down their net.
 
Attaching spiritual significance to their catch, they later took the floating stone to be let into the temple tank of Adikesavaperumal temple in their locality. On hearing about the floating stone, a number of people from in and around Manamelgudi visited the Perumal temple to admire it.
