In another attack by dogs, 9 injured near Vijayawada
Five persons from Kanuru and four from Sanath Nagar were severely injured
VIJAYAWADA: A pack of street dogs attacked a few people in Kanuru and Sanath Nagar of Penamaluru mandal, on the outskirts of Vijayawada, on Monday evening. Five persons from Kanuru and four from Sanath Nagar were severely injured and shifted to the new Government General Hospital.
The doctors said anti-rabies vaccine was administered and that the injured were safe. All of them were discharged from the hospital by night after they refused to join as in patients. Dr. U. Surya Kumari, superintendent of the hospital, said, “Nine people came to the hospital with wounds from dog bite. They were treated and told to join as in patients but when we told them there was nothing to worry, they refused to get admitted in the hospital and left home after the vaccine was administered.”
