Mumbai: The Indian Premier League (IPL) clash between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Eden Gardens was abandoned without a ball being bowled. When the cricket fans in the ‘City of Joy’ expressed worries about the refund of the bomb of an amount they paid for the match, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan – also the co-owner of KKR – came to their rescue.

With no air about his stardom, the man whose designation is far beyond that of a ticket vendor, tweeted how and when the money is going to be refunded to the spectators.

“Refunds for the #KKRvsRR match will be done from the KKR ticket box office at Mohammedan sporting grounds between 29th April  to 5th May,” he tweeted.

Khan, despite his busy schedule, has been following the sport and his team diligently. Being one with the spectators, even he wished the rain to go away on Sunday.

On top of that, whenever his players do well, he doesn’t miss out on appreciating their efforts. Now we know how KKR – without big guns like the Maxwells (Glenn) and the Warners (David) – still managed to clinch the title twice.
