Skype opens up free voice calls to landlines and mobiles in Nepal

All calls to landlines and mobiles from around the world will be free of cost

Skype, one of the oldest voice and video calling application, has announced a free calling service to offer help to friends and relatives of affected families in Nepal. Skype users around the world can now use the internet communication platform to make free calls to landlines and mobiles, in and out of Nepal.

Skype has also put up a post on their website stating that all calls to landlines and mobiles from around the world will be free of cost.

“In light of the devastating events that have taken place in Nepal – and the subsequent impact to the local communications infrastructure – we are making all Skype calls to landlines and mobiles in and out of Nepal free of charge, with immediate effect,” stated Skype on their blog
