IPL 8, RCB vs RR: Six players to watch out for in this tie
Bangalore won the first leg at Motera, keen for an encore
Mumbai: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) rediscovered their past glory when they beat Delhi Daredevils by 10 wickets a few days back. On Wednesday, they will take on the in-form Rajasthan Royals (RR) for the second time and few players from both the teams could be match winners. Let’s find out.
RCB
David Wiese: The all-rounder turned heads since his dream start against Mumbai Indians. He picked up four wickets in the high-scoring tie and also slammed a 25-ball 47. An able finisher, he is one player to watch out for. Wiese plays for the Titans in South Africa’s domestic circuit.
Chris Gayle: Whether in good touch or not, one can never rule Gayle out when it comes to a T20 contest. To make matters worse for Rajasthan, the Caribbean found form against Delhi. He remained unbeaten on 62 off 40, and finished the match with captain Virat Kohli.
Mitchell Starc: The ‘Player of the Tournament’ in the ICC World Cup seems to be on a repeat mode in the IPL. With figures of 3/20 in the last tie, he is in full swing.

RR
Ajinkya Rahane: The Mumbai boy is leading the Orange Cup race (with 323 runs) that included three half-centuries. A good start from him can put the Royals ahead. The bowlers are yet to crack the ‘deceive Rahane’ code.
Steve Smith: No matter what, his bat always does the talking. The Australian is an asset for the team and he is one of those who can change the course of the match if he is in the mood.
Pravin Tambe: He is old, he is shaky on the field but fit enough to hoodwink the batsmen with the ball.
