Watch: Brendon McCullum plays tennis as Chennai Super Kings outfield Kolkata Knight Riders
New Zealand skipper was bang on target as he attempted a run-out
Mumbai: With big hits, innovative strokeplay and audacity to smash any bowler out of the park, Brendon McCullum is doing all he can to threaten the oppositions across the globe.
If that’s not enough, the New Zealand skipper is absolutely breathtaking in the field; be it chasing the ball, grabbing a stunner of a catch or diving around to save a run.

And just when we thought he will stay focused only on that, the man has taken the madness to a whole new level when he played tennis; a forehand without a racquet, to enthral the fans.
The incident took place during Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders IPL 8 clash at Chepauk on Tuesday. Chasing a modest target of 135, KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir was running in to complete a single. McCullum, who was guarding the point area, had very little time to grab the ball and throw it onto the stumps.
Understanding this, the Kiwi star used some tennis skills and diverted the ball onto the wickets. While Gambhir managed to make it to the crease in time, he would have definitely felt a little scared seeing McCullum attack the ball.

That was not the only time when Baz ran havoc in the field. He and his Chennai Super Kings' teammates saved at least 10-15 runs as CSK successfully defended 134 runs in Chennai.
