Centre seeks report from Punjab govt on Moga incident
A teenage girl lost her life after she was thrown off from the moving bus
New Delhi: The Centre on Thursday sought a report from the Punjab government on the death of a teenage girl after she was allegedly molested and thrown off a moving bus.
"We have sought a report from the state government on the incident and the report is expected at anytime," a top Home Ministry official said today.
The official said the Home Ministry has conveyed to the Punjab government that they must take all appropriate steps for the treatment and security of the girl's mother, who was seriously injured in the incident.
"It is expected that the state administration will ensure proper medical care for the injured mother of the deceased girl," he said.
A teenage girl died while her mother sustained serious injuries after they were allegedly molested and thrown off a moving bus near Moga in Punjab.
The conductor and cleaner of the bus, reportedly belonging to a company owned by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal's family, were today arrested by the police in connection with the horrific incident which occurred last evening near Moga.
