Chandrababu Naidu defends land pooling, slams rivals

“People should understand that for development we need land” said the CM

VisakhapatnamCriticising the Opposition parties for politicising the issue of land pooling, AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that without land there will be no development, which, in turn, generates employment for future generations. 
 
“Along with agriculture, we need to focus on industry sector also, which generates lot of employment for our future generations. 
People should understand that for development we need land. Those having lands can be part of the development and also benefit from it and that is why I have opted for land pooling instead of land acquisition. We need to create a healthy environment to attract investments,” said the CM. He reminded that farmers came forward voluntarily and offered 33,000 acres for the capital city development. 
 
The Chief Minister said the state government along with CII and National University of Singapore has undertaken a joint research programme on ‘Ease of doing business’ in AP and also on how to attract investments from south East Asian countries. “We have decided to promote AP in a big way to attract investments and also taken up a joint research programme along with CII and the National University of Singapore on ‘Ease of doing business’ so that investments pour in. We are trying to create healthy environment to attract investments,” Mr Naidu said.
