Mumbai: A dolphin has been found dead on the Mumbai coast, the second such incident in 10 days, a municipal official said on Wednesday.
The dolphin was found on the coast near NCPA at Nariman Point on Monday night, an official of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) said.
Passers-by located the dolphin at 8 pm on Monday, after which the BMC disaster control management, forest department and civic bodies were informed.
The dolphin was removed on Tuesday by the forest department after which a post mortem was conducted.
On April 20, the carcass of a 10-feet-long humpback dolphin washed ashore at Marine Drive.
