Hyderabad: Power overload led to a massive fire at a photo studio in Abids. The fire destroyed the shop and electrical equipment on Friday.
Two bikes from the Rapid Response Team reached the spot and were joined by fire tenders from Gowliguda and Secretariat Fire Station. It took over three hours for the fire personnel to put out the fire.
“Old electrical wiring and too many electrical equipments like AC and lights created a short circuit and this caused the fire at the Gopi Photo Studio. It was sheer negligence which caused the fire as that many gadgets were not shown during inspections. Keeping equipments crammed up in the studio increased the damage,” explained station fire officer Rajkumar.
The damage is estimated at around Rs 3-4 lakh. No casualties or injuries were reported.
