David Beckham was surrounded by his nearest and dearest as he kicked off his 40th birthday celebrations in Marrakesh.The former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder is seen receiving a warm hug from fashion designer wife Victoria, 41, in a snap shared with her 4.2 million Instagram followers.
Sitting beneath a large banner bearing the words ‘Happy Birthday,’ Beckham sports a striking panama hat while sitting at an outdoor table that appears to be set for a birthday breakfast. Captioning the shot, Victoria wrote: “So excited to be spending this special day with David and the kids in Marrakesh! Welcome to Instagram @DavidBeckham! x vb #DB40.” Oldest son Brooklyn, 16, also paid tribute to his father via his own social media channel by sharing a snap in which they sit side by side.
“Happy birthday dad. #DB40,” reads a simple accompanying message. Meanwhile Beckham has added further shots to the Instagram account he opened on Friday morning, shortly before jetting off to Morocco with his family.
