Chennai Super Kings beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 24 runs at MA Chidambaram Stadium
Chennai: Chennai Super Kings beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 24 runs at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Monday.
Score: RCB 124 all out
CSK 148/9
Here's how the action unfolded
WICKET! Looked like a repeat off the last wicket, Negi at it again. Iqbal Abdulla gone for duck and RCB all out for 124.
WICKET! The danger man, Wiese, dismissed for 14. Good ball by Bravo, well caught by Negi.
WICKET! Raina catches Starc off Mohit Sharma.
WICKET! Nehra strikes again, this time, it is Harshal Patel who nicked it to Dhoni behind the stumps.
WICKET! Nehra back in the scheme of things, dismisses Sarfaraz (8).
WICKET! Dinesh Karthik (23) follow suit, two wickets in the same over. Good catch at the deep by Dwayne Smith off Nehra.
STUNNER! Dwayne Bravo hits the stumps from a distance run Kohli (48) out.
Sarfaraz Khan is seen padded up. Bangalore has enough depth in their batting to guide them through.
WICKET! Brilliant throw by Negi as MS Dhoni completes the glovework. Mandeep Singh falls short.
WICKET! Faf du Plessis catches AB de Villiers (21) off Pandey.
WICKET! Ishwar Pandey draws first blood for CSK, dislodges Nic Maddinson's stumps.
WICKET! Mitchell Starc disturbed the timber in the first over. The ball came in sharp and the West Indian had no clue how to play at that one.

WICKET! David Wiese removed the ever so dangerous Brendon McCullum in the final over of powerplay. The New Zealander was trying to clear the ropes but could only manage to give an easy catch to Iqbal Abdulla near the mid-wicket boundary.

Suresh Raina and Faf du Plessis upped the ante as they attacked young left-arm spinner Iqbal Abdulla in the 9th over. While duiu Plessis hit a big six, Raina smashed two fours. The duo put up 54-run partnership to take CSK close to hundred.
WICKET! Faf du Plessis was not able to dismiss a full toss and got out dragging it onto his stumps off Harshal Patel's bowling.
WICKET! In the same over, Patel trapped Raina before the wickets. While the left-hander scored a fifty, his dismissal came at a wrong point for CSK.
While Dhoni scored a quickfire 29 off 18 balls and Pawan Negi added 13 from 7 balls, they could not take Chennai Super Kings past 150-run mark. Mitchell Starcl scalped three wickets and Wiese and Harshal Patel grabbed two wickets each as Royal Challengers Bangalore restricted CSK to 148.
The playing XIs.
While MS Dhoni-led CSK unit made one change to the playing XI by including Ishwar Pandey in place of Ronit More, it decided not to rush Ashwin back into the game.
RCB, on the other hand, made two changes to the side which beat KKR in a thriller. Gayle was rested and Nic Maddinson came in to replace him in the playing XI. Varun Aaron made way for Iqbal Abdulla.
