Hyderabad: Trouble for AIB never seems to get over. The comedy group was scheduled to perform in Hyderabad on May 9 but now, the event stands cancelled... due to “unforseen circumstances”.
Stand-up comedian Papa CJ, who was also supposed to be a part of the show, put up a Facebook status saying, “Hyderabad show on May 9 with A.I.B. and Daniel Fernandes is not confirmed and may not take place.
“While the show is being marketed and tickets are being sold on www.meraevents.com, as artists we are yet to receive confirmation that this show will be going ahead. Last I heard, permissions for this show have not been secured, and therefore, there is a chance this show might not take place. I’m presuming there is no change in the situation, because our bookings as artists have yet to be confirmed. I’m only posting this here because in spite of multiple efforts to contact the organiser, I’m unable to get a response.”
The organisers meanwhile (Metalloid Productions), here in Hyderabad said the show on the particular date stands cancelled and could be rescheduled. “Due to certain unfortunate legal issues and permits and the safety of our artistes and event, we are rescheduling until further notice. “We regret the inconvenience caused. The ticket money will be refunded in whole to all the buyers,” said the official email response from the organisers.
