CM N Chandrababu Naidu to inspect HNSS works soon

CM announced that he had taken up ‘Jala Deeksha’ to complete the irrigation projects

TirupatiThe government decided to complete the Handri-Neeva project within one-and-a-half year to solve drought problem in Chittoor district. So far officials have completed 90 per cent of the project work. If this project is completed it will irrigate 1.80 lakh of acre in Chittoor and solve drinking water problem in 30 mandals in the district.
 
The government has allotted Rs 211 crore in the State Budget. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced that he had taken up ‘Jala Deeksha’ to complete the irrigation projects including Handri-Neeva to make Chittoor district drought free district.
 
As part of this programme, he will visit the project site at Adavipalli on May 7. He will hold a review meeting with the irrigation officials to speed up the project works. The government has already given necessary permissions and directed to speed up the project works.
 
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu assured that he would complete the project within the stipulated time and make Chittoor drought free district. Meanwhile, district collector Siddarth Jain, superintendent of police G. Srinivas visited Handri-Neeva project site. They inspected the site proposed for helipad and CM’s review meeting. They inspected the site proposed for CM’s public meeting at Nalagampalli and gave suggestions to the officials to make necessary arrangements.
