ChennaiIn an all out attack against the DMK for failing the state on various fronts, PMK's Dr Anbumani Ramadoss on Monday said that DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin must not  think that people would have forgotten the administrative  irregularities and corruption just because the party had been  out of power for 46 months.

Two days after Mr Stalin wrote an open letter to chief minister O. Panneerselvam, Dr Anbumani said the history of the state's destruction could not be written without the role of DMK.

“Like how it is not possible to write Ramayana and Mahabharata without the characters of Kooni (Manthara) and Shakuni, likewise, it is not possible to write the history of Tamil Nadu's destruction without including DMK's role in it,” he said, in an open letter.

Equating DMK taking up corruption issues to that of a butcher preaching ahimsa, Dr Anbumani, said:  “The 2G (scam) brought great disrepute to India at the global level. That was the reason that made India look like a corrupt country. Isn’t DMK the reason behind the Rs 1.76 lakh crore scam?”

Accusing the DMK leader of shedding crocodile tears over the loot of natural resources, PMK leader said it was DMK which began the process of looting natural minerals. He also charged both Dravidian parties with being responsible for the mineral sand, granite and river sand mining irregularities.

According to Dr  Anbumani, the follies committed by the DMK  included not implementing prohibition and doing nothing to  augment the electricity supply, an issue that has been  impacting Tamil Nadu for the past few years.
