K Chandrasekhar Rao showers goodies on Ibrahimpatnam
The Chief Minister promised to provide irrigation to one lakh acres in the constituency
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao showered several sops on Ibrahimpatnam Assembly seat in Ranga Reddy district on the eve of Telugu Desam MLA Manchireddy Kishen Reddy formally joining the TRS.
Telugu Desam MLA Kishen Reddy had organised a massive public meeting on Monday at the constituency headquarters that was attended by all TRS bigwigs.
Chief Minister KCR on his return journey to the capital from Nagarjunasagar halted at Ibrahimpatnam and spoke on the government initiatives for development of the constituency.
The Chief Minister promised to provide irrigation to one lakh acres in the constituency via the proposed major irrigation Jurala project.
Four laning of the road to Hyderabad, restoration of Pedacheruvu of Ibrahimpatnam are some of the other promises the Chief Minister made. Addressing the meeting, KCR said the government had many schemes and projects to achieve Golden Telangana in the next four years, including making the state self sufficient in power generation.
He reminded people of former Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy giving demonstrative lectures on power problems Telangana was going to face in the event of bifurcation.
He said that now the state has no power cuts. MLA Kishen Reddy said he joined TRS only to achieve a golden Telangana and nothing else.
