Jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali, who was quick to deduce that people mustn’t be sleeping on roads as it is “dangerous” and that it is the government’s fault that Salman ran over someone 13 years ago, recently apologised for infuriating many with a single insensitive statement.

She tweeted, “I would like to offer an UNCONDITIONAL apology for my tweets ref the homeless sleeping on the streets. (sic)”

But only to go back to square one, she followed it with her own suggestions on how to make roads safe for the homeless, “And maybe we need to earmark roads where the homeless can sleep peacefully without the fear of being run over, roads that are bylanes. (sic).”

We are not sure if that is quite the effective solution, but on a lighter note, director Farah Khan was quite surprised when many tweets meant for the jewellery designer were sent to her.

She clarified on her Twitter account saying, “All tweets of complaints bout the “tweet” pls forward to @FarahKhanAli ... We are NOT the same person!! Thank you! (sic)”
