Mumbai: The Bombay High Court granted relief to convicted actor Salman Khan on Friday, suspending his sentence of five years’ imprisonment pronounced earlier by a sessions court in the 2002 hit-and-run case.

The court also granted regular bail to the actor till his appeal against the conviction is decided. The prosecution did not object to the admitting of Salman’s appeal against the conviction.

However, it opposed the application for suspension of sentence.
