Windows 10 will be the last version of Windows, confirms Microsoft
Microsoft announced that there would be no Windows 11 operating system
At the Ignite 2015 conference, Microsoft announced that the Windows 10 would be the last version of desktop software. This news created disarray amongst the Windows fans and followers on the Internet. Everyone was alarmed as to why and what is Microsoft suddenly up to? Here is what is really happening.
This statement was announced by Jerry Nixon, a Microsoft development executive. His statement was confirmed by Microsoft, where it said that from now it would update Windows in an “ongoing manner”. Essentially, instead of releasing the next version of the operating system, Microsoft will continue to work and update Windows 10 in instalments. Therefore, there will be no Windows 11, but just improved versions of Window 10 from now on.
