Telangana to edge Andhra Pradesh out from 96 buildings

Hyderabad: Following the recent High Court ruling giving the Telangana state government complete control over the institutions located in the state, the TS government is all set to take over the buildings of the 96 institutions listed under Schedule X of the AP Reorganisation Act that offer common services to both TS and AP.

After taking over the AP State Council of Higher Education building, including its staff and vehicles two days ago, the TS government wants to take over the offices of the remaining 96 institutions and complete the task before June 2, the first anniversary of the state. This would mean that all these institutions bearing the “AP” name will soon vanish from the state.
