Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister's daughter feared drowned in Ganga

Dehradun:  The daughter of Uttar Pradesh Cabinet minister Shahid Manzoor was feared drowned in the Ganga river in Rishikesh while she went for rafting with her friends.

24-year-old Abida Hasan, a medical student, was washed away in the strong current after she slipped and fell into the river, police said.

The incident took place near Phoolchatti ashram and a team of rescuers was trying to trace the girl. The minister has also rushed to the spot.
