Hyderabad: The body of 17-year-old Mohammed Nabeel was exhumed on Monday. Nabeel had died during a street fight staged by his friends. The incident came to light on Sunday.

A post-mortem was conducted by a five-member team of doctors from the Forensic Medicine department of the Osmania GH. The experts examined the injuries on his head and other parts of the body. The viscera was collected and sent to the forensic laboratory.

On Sunday night, the police had alerted Nabeel’s family about the exhumation on Monday and had asked them to be present at the graveyard in Barkas in the morning.

Police commissioner Mahender Reddy said the hospital’s failure to inform the police about a medico legal case would be examined.

Forensic experts said that Nabeel died due to head injury caused by severe blows. He suffered clots in his brain due to the blows. Cops said there is no evidence of a planned murder.
