Mumbai: Young Arjun Tendulkar has bowled in the India nets, trained with Indian players and even former India coaches like Gary Kirsten and Duncan Fletcher. On Wednesday, the youngster received some valuable guidance from Wasim Akram, the Sultan of Swing.

The KKR team mentor spent close to 30 minutes with Arjun and Sachin Tendulkar at the Wankhede Stadium. Arjun was closely monitored by Akram, who said, “I spoke to him about his action, swing and fitness which are very important. He is very eager (to learn),” Akram said. The legendary Pakistan pacer also added that the two took part in an exhibition game last year.

“I met Arjun last summer in England. We played an exhibition match. I think he dismissed West Indies legend Brian Lara,” he said.
